Good afternoon, Inter-Lakes Families,
Re: Confirmed Case of COVID-19 for ILM/HS; No Bus Transportation Used; No Close Contacts; In-Person Learning Continuing - No Interruption
Today, we learned that an individual who was last in school at Inter-Lakes Middle/High School on Tuesday, April 6 has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The individual was symptomatic on Tuesday. On behalf of Inter-Lakes, we extend Laker well wishes to this person. School bus transportation was not used and there are no close contacts. Contact was made to families and staff who may have shared classroom space; this communication is complete.
There is no evidence any of our recent cases are connected. Additionally, there is no evidence of school based transmission. An Instant Alert has not been sent as the news of this case is delayed and there is no immediate school concern. As always, if a family has a concern, please contact your child's Principal and if needed, an absence will be excused.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. Be well, Inter-Lakes!
Respectfully,
Mary Moriarty
Superintendent of Schools
