As we look forward to summer, I wanted to make you aware of a number of summer opportunities that have come across my desk for students. Shooter’s Gold is a week long basketball camp that is held right at Inter-Lakes Elementary School. Shooter’s Gold will be held in the Inter-Lakes Elementary School Gymnasium July 9th-12h. The Huot Technical Center is hosting several opportunities for students this summer. The HTC Summer Arts & Technology Camp is one of the opportunities open to students in grades 7-8 during the week of July 9th- 13th. It provides a week long, hands-on opportunity for students interested in learning about a variety of career options including engineering, media arts, culinary arts, bio-technology, and computer programming. Huot will also be sponsoring a Girl Technology Camp. This three day camp will be held June 27h to June 29th providing an immersive experience in all things “tech”. Squam Lakes Association in Holderness will once again be offering expansive summer camp opportunities. They offer three different week long camp experiences for different age levels including the Discovery, Explorer, and Expedition programs. All of these programs offer a variety of outdoor activities including kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and camping. They also offer the Communioty Youth Sailing program. Camp Lawrence and Camp Nokomis are summer camps located on Bear Island which are operated by the Merrimack Valley YMCA. Camp Lawrence is for boys ages 8-16 and Camp Nokomis is for girls 8-16. For more information about Camp Lawrence and Camp Nokomis you can go to their website at
