Freshmen

On Wednesday, January 20th,  2010, freshmen will meet with their period one (7:20-8:19), two (8:21-9:20), three (9:50-10:49), and four (10:51-11:50) block teachers for one hour (Mrs. Donahue’s English Class will meet for their Physical Education Class, like any other Wednesday from 7:20-8:19 AM – come prepared).  They will have the same break as the upperclassmen, 9:22-9:48.  Some teachers of freshmen may give a mid-term exam and as the details are worked out, the information will be communicated to the students; English teachers are planning a literary café and possibly a mid-term, too.

On Thursday, January 21st, 2010, freshmen will report directly to their D block classroom to take the D block two hour final exam in their elective/required class from 7:20-9:20a.m..  They will then have the same break as the upperclassmen, 9:22-9:48.  The final details of the last two hours (9:50-11:50a.m.) of the day are still being worked out and will be communicated with the freshmen as soon as plans are finalized.

Freshmen are reminded that they will not have “Freshman Seminar” on either of the two days.   All students are encouraged to eat breakfast, get plenty of sleep, and take care of any bathroom needs before entering their classes on either day, because students are not allowed to leave classes during exam periods.  Students should not be cramming for any tests or quizzes at any time if they keep up with their daily work and review information each day!
