I-LES Hosts Veterans Day Assembly

Staff and students recognized Veterans Day on November 10th with a special school-wide assembly. Attending the assembly were over 50 Veterans from throughout the community. This year's keynote speaker was Dr. Carolyn Crosby. Dr. Crosby was a former Inter-Lakes Elementary School student who went on to become a doctor and serve in the United States Navy. Members of the American Legion spoke to the students about the history of Veterans Day and why it is important to pause to remember all of the men and women who have and who are currently serving our country. Kudos to Mrs. Krisak and members of the PTO for coordinating this very special and powerful tribute to Veterans.

Inter-Lakes Elementary School Selected as recipient of the 2009 New Hampshire Elementary School of Excellence Award!!! Close to 50 staff members from the Inter-Lakes School District attended the EDies Awards Ceremony.

EVERYDAY MATH GAMES NOW ON-LINE!

Parents and students can now access Everyday Math Games - adapted and customized so that they can be played on any computer. These games provide frequent practice that is necessary for students to attain strong mental math skills! Practice through playing EMGames not only builds fact and operations skills, but often reinforces other skills such as exchanging money. Log on to the Everyday Math website by following the directions below:
1. Go to www.interlakes.org/iles
2. Click on Teacher Web Pages
3. Find your child's teacher
4. Click on the link for EDM Games
5. At the Everyday Math Website, click on "STUDENT LOGIN"
6. Click on "LAUNCH GAMES"
7. Enter the information (username and password) that we have provided your child. Your child should know his/her username and password. Please contact your child's teacher if you need this information!
